Biozone Research Technologies Pvt. Ltd., was established in 2008 as a bioscience research and academic organization with an aim of bridging the gap between industry and academia. It has now metamorphosed into a premier Contract Research Organization in Chennai, offering technical and analytical services in biosciences and renewable energy and publishing solutions. Biozone has been instrumental in catalyzing research for various clients in the industrial and academic sector.

Biozone Institute of Life Sciences was started in 2008, keeping in mind the requirement of the academia.Biozone forayed into the contract research services sector in the same year with the setting up of Biozone Research Services Division to provide integrated research services to leading pharmaceutical and biotechnological industries.The Research and development wing of Biozone came into existence in 2010 with an aim of undertaking research activities for multiple Biozone businesses built on a common set of core competencies. With a concept of becoming a one-stop solution for the needs of bioscience individuals, BRT Publishers – the publishing services wing of BRTPL was founded in 2012. The first issue of International Journal of Bioscience Research (IJBR) (ISSN 2321 7774), an open access, peer reviewed journal from the house of BRT publishers was published in November 2012.

A first generation entrepreneur, Florida heads Biozone Research Technologies Pvt. Ltd., a Biosciences start-up enterprise based out of Chennai. Biozone provides research support and contract services to industries and academic institutions, apart from manufacturing various products.
Florida received a Post Graduate honors degree in Plant Biology and qualified as a Master of Philosophy in Plant Genetics from the University of Madras. Her doctoral research was in the field of Plant Molecular biology and Cancer targeted phytotherapy. She has nearly 20 years of industrial research and academic experience in the field of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics.
From being a Scientific Personnel at the Centre for Biotechnology, SPIC Science Foundation, Chennai to being an Analyst at a multinational Biotechnology conglomerate to chairing the department of Biotechnology at Hindustan College of Arts & Science, Chennai, Florida's career is a perfect trendsetter in terms of hardwork, determination and passion for the biological discipline. The various awards and felicitations received by her during her tenure at various institutions stands testimony to this fact. Over the years, she has been invited to give lectures and create awareness in Biotechnology at various academic institutions like SRM University, Montfort School, SSN College of engineering, VIT University, Loyola College, Alpha College, Vinayaga mission Universtity, Jeppiar Engineering college among others.
She is expertised in conducting research activities leading to product development useful for the society, writing research works as articles and papers for publications and conducting workshops, training programs in the field of molecular biology and has an inborn passion for teaching biosciences and spreading the knowledge to young budding researchers. She has showcased her research work across various International, National and State-level platformsand also has been instrumental in the dissemination of tailor made knowledge across the young biotechnology community.
She is highly respected in the academic world and is on the advisory board for many colleges across Tamil Nadu. Her pioneering efforts in educating and simplifying research in the field of Biotechnology have gained statewide recognition and acclaim. She presently serves on the Academic Advisory Council of Women's Christian College Chennai, DKM College for Women Vellore and Alpha College of Arts & Science Chennai. She is also associated with Bharathidasan University Trichy, PRIST University Thanjavur and Vinayaka Missions Deemed University, in the capacity of Research Advisor for M.Phil studies. Her areas of research expertise include Molecular Research, Herbal Sciences, Phytobiotechnology,Radioisotopy facilitated Genomic studies, Plant tissue culture, Genome analysis, Genetic enhancement of Plants, Molecular oncology and bioinformatics.
Under her successful leadership, Biozone has evolved from its inception in 2008 as a Biosciences Training institute to a fully integrated Biosciences commercial entity, encompassing a well-balanced business portfolio of products and services with a research focus on Oncology and other life threatening diseases. During this transition, business alliances and research collaborations were established with Central Leather Research Institute (CSIR), SMBPL, T John College – Bangalore, Hindustan College-Chennai, ERI Loyola College-Chennai, Asthagiri Foundation, Lifeline Hospitals and Auto Stem Laboratories, among others.
Florida also has to her credit several research papers published in international, peer-reviewed journals and currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief for the "International Journal of Bioscience Research (IJBR)".
A visionary, Florida plans to take Biozone to greater heights with governmental R&D recognition, Innovative products and Client-specific services to various industries in India.

Head - OperationsAneesh is a Post-Graduate in Molecular Biology from University of Madras. He also holds a Post graduate Diploma in Bioinformatics and a Masters in International Business Management. His areas of research interests include Endophyte biology, Gene expression studies, Mammalian Cell Culture, Cytotoxicity studies, Molecular Oncology and Apoptotic pathway analyses. His additional portfolios include Operating Model Strategy, Human Resources Management, Corporate Governance, Brand development and Business development.

Kalluri Vasavi
Coordinator – BRSVasavi is a Post Graduate in Biotechnology from Sri Padmavathi Mahila Vishwavidyalayam, Tirupati. She has also completed the Biocon KGI certificate program in Biosciences from the Biocon KGI academy, Bangalore. Her areas of research interest include Cloning and gene expression profiling, protein profiling, Knockout studies using Yeast model and insilico mutation studies.
